Would you like to Lose Three Pounds This Week?
...and again the week after?
...and the week after that?

Let’s see…that would mean 12 pounds this month, 36 pounds this season…
Let Me Help You Succeed!
Why should you read this letter, after nothing else you’ve tried has worked?
Because what I am proposing is designed to address that exact problem: no matter what you’ve tried, or how hard you’ve tried, the prevailing result is discouragement and frustration.
Dear friend,
If you are going to succeed at losing weight, you will have to experience a clear relationship between what you do and the results you get, right?
Because how often have you given up trying when:
Your body seemed to have a mind of its own—and its mind was made up to keep gaining weight—or at least hold on to what it had--no matter what!
-
Nothing you did seemed to make any positive difference
-
Any weight you lost just came right back
-
It was just TOO HARD to live with all the restrictions, rules, deprivation, and effort required to get anywhere.
Research shows that something as simple as daily emails makes a significant difference for people wanting to lose weight.
What?!? How could this be? How could it be that anyone, already overwhelmed with too much email, could possibly benefit from one more "health tip?”
Simple. It’s not health tips. It’s doing something to cause your thinking to shift from chronic self-discouragement to just enough encouragement to keep you on track.
Here’s why, if you want to lose weight, this is critical.
Your weight is held in place by two components: physical and mental. In order for your weight to stay in the same pattern it’s in—increasing, staying the same, or decreasing, you have to keep believing the same habitual beliefs, thinking the same habitual thoughts, and behaving in the same habitual ways.
If you want your weight to change, then something has to give. You have to venture outside of your familiar habit patterns far enough and long enough to let your body get used to something different.
For most people, this takes a tremendous amount of courage.
The underlying reason most people fail to get the results they want is that they are in the habit of discouraging themselves rather than building the necessary courage for change.
Most people don’t even realize that they are doing this.
But how many times have you smiled at the thought of how great it would be if you could dump that 5 – 10 – 20 – 30 – 50 or more extra pounds, only to immediately be overwhelmed with thoughts of hopelessness or frustration?
“Forget it! It’ll never work! Not for ME, anyway! Why even try? It’s hopeless!”
Those habitual thoughts, as well as the habitual behaviors that often quickly follow—a soothing glass of alcohol, a comforting bite of something you “shouldn’t” eat, another hour of doing whatever you were doing so you can avoid exercise—all add up to a habit pattern that keeps your body doing just what it’s been doing: Holding on to weight you don’t want.
Let’s face it. Change is scary.
Even if you had no fears about the powerful result of the change you say you want, (What if you were sexier? What if everyone you know “hated” you the way you “hate” those skinny people?) you’re still human! And humans tend to resist change.
What you’ll need is COURAGE.
● It takes courage to say no to your excuses.
● It takes courage to believe there will be enough food for you later if you don’t eat a little extra now, “just in case.”
● It takes courage to “reward” yourself with something you believe is actually good for you.
● It takes courage to admit your actual condition, and not reject yourself for it.
● It takes courage to believe in yourself, overcome your fears, love yourself unconditionally.
● It takes courage to let others see that you dare to believe in yourself, when you are so sure they are thinking “who is s/he kidding, thinking someone like her/him will ever succeed?” (Have you ever thought this about a “fat” person at the gym, or an “ugly” or awkward person trying out for something on stage?)
● It takes courage to be the exception, not going along with what “everyone else” is doing—whether it’s eating, drinking, complaining, worrying, judging…
● It takes courage to use your will to consciously, purposely shift your attention off of negative thoughts, lack of visible progress, evidence that things are getting worse, embarrassing events, mistakes--all the plentiful opportunities for discouragement you may face--and instead place your attention on encouragement.
● It takes courage to change. |
And courage doesn’t come all at once.
Like muscle, you have to build it. It takes persistence and practice.
And for most people, it takes consistent support and encouragement.
Here's an amazing bit of research I read years ago when learning to teach people how to ski.
For a person of solid self-esteem to make progress, something like five out of every ten bits of feedback must be positive. For a person with low self-esteem, at least SEVEN, and up to NINE out of TEN messages must be positive! |
In other words, in order to lose weight, you must absolutely STOP beating yourself up, hating yourself, sabotaging yourself, judging yourself, criticizing yourself, guilt-tripping yourself, setting yourself up for failure, punishing yourself, focusing on fearful or angry self-defeating thoughts, and discouraging yourself at every turn.
If you take an honest look at what you’ve been doing in this arena, is it any wonder you’ve had a hard time making progress—especially when you realize that this sort of behavior has a direct effect on the cells of your body, in addition to the problems you may have trying to get yourself to eat differently?
Is the problem really that you haven’t yet found the right diet, the right exercise program, or the right supplements??? Or could it be that there’s this one other teeny-tiny thing that’s just a wee bit out of control?
Can you see, perhaps, that there IS a relationship between what you’ve been doing and the results you have gotten?
And can you recognize that you could benefit from a little help?
My goal is to help you with that problem.
The question is, what will it take?

Hi Alexandra,
Just wanted to give you a heads up on my weight loss progress.
As I've learned with the LTP program, I have this incredible power
over my mind and body.
When I stopped obsessing about my size and started to see and speak
kindly of my body, I actually started easily losing weight. My
positive self talk makes me feel lighter, like a weight has been
lifted (no pun intended) and so far I've lost 7 pounds.
I found I was taunting myself like a school yard bully. When I
stopped the abusive self talk and changed my attitude, positive
results showed up.
Life, in general, is just easier now. My body is
not my dreaded foe but now my good and precious friend.
Thanks for leading me to the high road.,

Questions and Answers about Your Subscription
Q: How will I get the best results from this program?
A: Dive in and participate! Most people also find that interaction with at least one other person helps them be accountable. You're encouraged to participate in the discussion forum, and communicate with me about how it's going for you.
Q: I’m in a weight loss program already. Will this program offer conflicting advice?
A: This program will definitely conflict with any program that forces you to rub your nose in your “weakness,” “mistakes,” or “faults” as a strategy to shame you into behaving differently. If you grew up with parents who employed this strategy, you’ll find me trying to help you recover from with any such “internal” program you may still be experiencing.
Otherwise, I can’t imagine any diet, exercise, cleanse, medical advice, or even hypnosis program you are finding helpful that wouldn’t be wildly enhanced by your participation in this program.
Q: I’m desperate! My doctor says my weight problem is life threatening, and I should consider surgery. How fast can this work?
A: The only limit to what’s possible is your beliefs. In the situation you are describing, I would recommend that we schedule a private consultation. Surgery is generally a temporary solution unless it helps you make the same kinds of shifts taught in this program. For some people, weight loss surgery can be quite risky. This program can actually improve your chances of smooth, safe healing from surgery, so I would recommend it even more strongly if you decide to have surgery.
Q: I’m desperate too, but it’s because I can’t stand the thought of showing up at my son’s wedding next month looking like this—and being this way in the photos forever! Can I really lose 3 pounds per week every week?
A: Yes. You will, however, need to stop focusing on the dreaded images of your “fat” and “unacceptable” self.
Q: I’m a member of the Science of Being Well and Beyond Course. Is this program a repeat of that one?
A: Actually, this program was developed as the brilliant idea of a course member who wanted more support as she went through the SOBWB Course for the second time. I thoroughly recommend it for all SOBWB course members, to greatly enhance your experience and your results. It weaves in the same philosophy, and gives different ways of teaching similar material with different examples and techniques.
Q: Can I pass on the emails to my friends and clients?
A: No.
One person who lives with you (your spouse, domestic partner, live-in sweetheart, live-in best friend, or live-in parent or adult child) is encouraged to participate with you, and do the program together. Others are welcome to subscribe themselves and participate in their own membership. You do not have permission to forward, copy and paste, duplicate in any other way, post on-or-offline, or distribute the material, in part or in whole, in any manner. It is for your personal use.
Q: What if I discover it doesn’t work for me?
A: You may cancel your subscription at any time and keep all the materials you have received to date. To cancel and make sure your billing stops, simply click the unsubscribe link found at the bottom of any message you receive. You should receive an email response confirming your cancellation.
Naturally, I’ll want to hear about your experience, but it’s entirely up to you if you choose to keep your reasons to yourself.
Q: If I cancel midway through a month, what happens?
A: You’ll be unsubscribed from the emails, and all future billing will cease!
Any other questions? Just ask! Use the contact form here.
